Goals for upcoming mission trip: Groundbreaking of Library Education Center, purchasing of truck needed for construction, distribution of supplies to children and medical supplies for the clinic in the village.

Students at Holy Spirit Elementary School pack "Advent Project" supplies gathered for "Mission HOPE South Sudan." The students gathered over 300 soft lunch bags, toothpaste, toothbrushes, bar soap, soft soap, dental supplies, candies, pencils, pens, erasers, children's Tylenol, and much more! Thank you Holy Spirit Elementary School, Sioux Falls, South Dakota!

Lost Boy of Sudan Atem Garang Juowei, and our Building Construction Manager for the Library Education Center Project, will depart with the mission team February 2013 to deliver the supplies to the children in the village he was born - Paliau Village, South Sudan. The second mission team to depart mid-March 2013!

 Mary's Project - Mission HOPE South Sudan has opened a new storefront location in Sioux Falls at; 1412 W. 12th Street (1/2 block east of West St on the North side). Material donations including books, school supplies, computers, laptops, kindles, as well as monetary support are now being accepted for drop-off.

Sioux Falls, SD - "In November KELOLAND News brought you the story of one Lost Boy of Sudan's mission to go
back and help his homeland. Atem Juowei, along with the help of Mary's Project, collected school supplies here in Sioux Falls for children in his village and made plans to build a library there. While Atem remains in Sudan working to bring his brothers to the U.S., one of the members of Mission Hope South Sudan is back to show us the progress they made in the third-world country." After decades of civil war and persecution from Government forces of the North, the Christians of South Sudan have won their independence becoming the newest Country in the world on July 9, 2011. In joyful celebration, Mary's Project will join the Lost Boys Reunion in South Sudan for a long awaited trip from separated family, and to celebrate the Lord's birth.

 

The trip will kick off "Library Educational Center Building Project" in a South Sudan Village as well as Mary's Project MISSION HOPE SOUTH SUDAN Outreach Program in Sioux Falls, SD.
